Who we are
Setyan Law APC – Wrongful Termination & Sexual Harassment Lawyer is a plaintiff-side employment law firm headquartered in Los Angeles. Attorney Sam Setyan founded our firm in 2021. We represent current and former employees across California in wrongful termination, sexual harassment, discrimination, protected leave, and wage and hour cases.
We don't represent employers. Every case we accept is on the employee's side. We take on employers, and whether it's a small local business or a Fortune 500 company, we don't back down. Our attorneys offer free, no-obligation, confidential consultations, and we take accepted cases on a contingency basis. Based on our fee agreement, you pay no attorney fees unless we recover money for you.
Why Sam fights for workers
Sam's family emigrated to the United States when he was eight years old. His father worked 16-hour days, Monday through Saturday, for a flat $300-a-week salary. His employer never paid overtime, and Sam's father didn't know he had a right to it. His mother cared for Sam and his brother all day, then worked the graveyard shift cleaning cards at a local casino. When she developed carpal tunnel syndrome and the pain became too much to keep working, the casino fired her.
Those experiences instilled a deep respect for workers in Sam and influenced his decision to become an employment lawyer. To this day, it's also why Setyan Law APC – Wrongful Termination & Sexual Harassment Lawyer represents only employees. In Talamantes v. Costco Wholesale Corporation (N.D. Cal.), we won a unanimous federal jury verdict for a former employee who was denied disability accommodations. Glendale Youth Alliance: Sam is a mentor with the Glendale Youth Alliance, a local nonprofit that connects young people ages 14 to 24 with job training, mentoring, and paid work experience. Setyan Law APC – Wrongful Termination & Sexual Harassment Lawyer takes part in all of GYA's youth programs year-round. We host paid interns through its summer, school-year and career-placement programs, including TEAM, EIP, GREAT and STEP for students with disabilities. Sam and our team mentor each intern on how a law office really works, from client service to case preparation. Interns leave with real experience on their résumés. Some have joined our firm, and others have leveraged their experience to secure jobs elsewhere.
